“Great Hornbill Big Home” Project
Great Hornbill reintroduction project in northern Thailand
@Chae Son National Park
Between November 8 – 14, 2023, the Chiang Mai-based professional arborist “Toh” and the Chae Son National Park team of arborists collaborated with the staff team of Khao Kheow Open Zoo and research team of the Hornbill Ecology Study Project in this endeavor. The public relation project saw lectures on hornbills for the participating students, general public, and local populace of Chae Son National Park, Lampang.
In addition, two artificial nests were installed within the area of the national park.
